REViP collaborates with Creative Commons Learn

It has been agreed by the E-learning Unit at St George’s to adopt the Creative Commons as the licensing tool of choice for sharing our Virtual Patients. The REViP team are working closely with Creative Commons Learn (ccLearn), CASPER, Jorum, MedBiquitous, and eViP to ensure that we are realising the full potential of the Internet to support open learning and open educational resources in the field of medicine and healthcare. We are also working with ccLearn to tackle some of the barriers to sharing medically related digital content such as best practice procedures to obtain patient consent, sharing of clinical information on the Internet, and general Intellectual Property and Copyright issues in medical and healthcare education.
