eLU has three distinct R&D groupings:

- e-Innovation
- Curriculum Development
- International Projects

Grants & Awards

All of the areas attract local, national and international grants. Over the last 4 years eLU has been supported by more than £4 million in grants.

Furthermore, it has been a consistent award winner and in 2009 received the Times Higher Education Award; in 2011 won the e-Learning Age Award.

International Collaboration

eLU collaborates with approximately 20 educational institutions worldwide, e.g.:
